Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 Wide Body Kit Conversion
A killer wide body kit conversion has been made for the Chevrolet Corvette, from the tuners at ZR1 Body Kits. The Chevy Corvette already looks great from the factory, but this look has been inspired by the C6.R Corvette racing cars, featuring an aggressive stance and exterior styling. It is available in two varieties, the more aggressive called the Extreme Style ZR1 for the C6 Z06 Grand Sport retails for $7,599, while the tuning firm also offers the mild OEM-style ZR1 body kit for $6,999. Both of these performance packages are made from fiberglass using compression molds, and is similar to what the GM OEM manufacturers use for their body panels, while keeping the factory mounting points.
This Chevrolet Corvette ZR6X Extreme body kit widens the car 1.5 inches when compared to the OEM ZR1 fenders, giving plenty of room for new wheels and rubber. For customers looking to spend a little extra and make their Vette even more unique, ZR1 Body Kits offers a carbon fiber option for the front lip, side skirts, and diffusers. The result is one of the best looking Corvettes we’ve seen to date, with a menacing stance, and a flush wheel fitment that almost looks too good to be true!

Chevrolet enters on the small segment with an Aveo, strong inspired by Aveo RS concept that debuted at Detroit. While the announced performance is not up to high expectations with the RS concept, the new model design and its characteristics should be a small storm in the B segment, where the fighting is already “bloody”.

The MK IV Chevrolet Camaro retained the same layout as the very first Camaro's back in 1967, 2-doors, 2+2 seating, rear-wheel drive, choice of V6 and V8 powerplants, and available in both coupe and convertible forms (the convertible was introduced in 1994). The fourth-generation Chevrolet Camaro debuted for the 1993 model year on the previous generation Camaro platform.

The MK4 Camaro featured the 5.7 L (350 cid) LT1 V8 engine that had been introduced in the Corvette one year earlier, as well as an optional six-speed manual transmission. The 1998 model year was refreshed and revised with both exterior and engine changes. Replacing the LT1 was GM's all-new 5.7 L (346 cid) LS1 which had been introduced with the Corvette C5. The Camaro is to return in 2009 however as a retro styled sports coupe. The fourth-gen Camaro would last up through the 2002 model year, at which point production was stopped due to slow sales.

V Concept Ferrante Sports Car Design

The Named after its Italian designer Fabio Ferrante and his girlfriend (whose name begins with V, apparently), the curvaceous Design V is a concept you can genuinely envision seeing out and about on the roads of Italy. However, its design is largely based on American muscle cars produced during the '60s – mainly the 1967 Chevrolet Impala that has a starring role in cult TV show, Supernatural.

V Concept Ferrante Sports Car Design

The V Concept is a study of a modern four-seater sportscar that pays homage to the 1967 Chevrolet Impala, reinterpreting in a modern way the proportions and a number of styling cues of the 1960s American Muscle Cars. Though the Ferrante Design V sounds more like a posh new perfume (“For him, for her – think Ferrante”), in fact it’s the name of a luxury 2+2 sports coupé concept vehicle.

V Concept Ferrante Sports Car Design

A key similarity to the Impala can be seen in the Design V’s elongated and low bonnet, though Ferrante has added his own person touch – evident in those swollen wheel arches that are almost impossible to miss.

Sadly, the designer has no plans to put the concept into production – but he says that if it were to become a reality it would be powered by a hybrid powertrain, adding to the appeal of this already desirable car.

Let's hope Chevrolet comes across it, because we think it would sit nicely alongside the American marque's current line-up of cars.

This new catalogue of Ultima world records was once again strictly conducted, overseen and verified by an official from 'Datron Technology' who are acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records and the motoring press as official timekeepers.. The use of their official Microsat GPS timing equipment which is based on incorruptible data provides irrefutable proof of the astonishing Ultima times. The Ultima GTR720 used for these records which is a company demonstrator was driven to and from the test venue.

Ultima GTR720 Chevrolet 720bhp V8 EngineUltima GTR720 Chevrolet 720bhp V8 Engine

The Ultima GTR used for the successful record attempt was the factory's standard production specification Ultima GTR640 demonstrator, which has recently been upgraded with a 720bhp Chevrolet V8 engine, and hence now known as the Ultima GTR720. The GTR720 was fully road legal, road tyred and equipped with a standard 5 speed G50 transmission and a standard production engine option from Ultima's official OE engine suppliers American Speed. No traction control devices or ABS braking aids were used

Richard Marlow commented, ' We always knew that the Ultima was more than capable of achieving performance figures of this caliber. There is no other supercar in history which can match the pace of the Ultima GTR in this discipline. Furthermore the GTR720 is available at a fraction of the price of all other supercars and is also fantastic to drive at more sedate road speeds with its road friendly engine. It is currently being used as my daily driver in all weather conditions. I expect with these latest officially verified world records for the Ultima GTR to retain its title for a long time into the future as the fastest accelerating and decelerating supercar of all time. Along with all of our other previous world records we have achieved over the past couple of years, this is a superb showcase to officially demonstrate to the world just what the Ultima is capable of achieving and we have gained unprecedented worldwide automotive recognition and respect for our marque in the process'.

Driven by Ultima Director, Richard Marlow, the British built and designed Ultima GTR road car set a new world record time of a staggering 9.4 secs for the 0-100mph-0 sprint. The GTR scorched from 0-60mph in 2.6 secs, 0-100mph in 5.3 secs and braked to zero from 100mph in a mind blowing 3.6 secs, which are all in themselves road car world record times.

Ted Marlow commented, ' Quite frankly the Ultima has opened up a new league of road car performance with these new independently verified figures. The Ultima GTR with its superior power to weight ratio is now over two seconds quicker from 0-100mph-0 than the £750,000 McLaren F1 LM, and over one and a half seconds quicker than the £450,000 Ferrari Enzo. What's more the GTR720 performed these world beating statistics consistently and reliably time after time. The mind boggling 30-70mph time of just 1.8 seconds is further proof that the Ultima is so far ahead of any other car in terms of outright performance.

The car is equipped with a standard production 720bhp Chevrolet V8 engine option built specifically for Ultima by our OE engine suppliers American Speed.

The Ultima GTR720 is a fully road going production car with standard features such as air conditioning, stereo system and sealed luggage compartments etc and is often used as a daily driver.

The Ultima Factory who are the current world record holders, have for the third consecutive year smashed the world record for sprinting to 100mph and back to zero again in the all conquering, multiple world record holding 200mph Ultima GTR supercar. The Ultima GTR720 recorded a blistering 1min 9.9secs lap time, which demolishes the previous record of 1min10.7secs set by seven-time world Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher in his Ferrari FXX track car. To put things into perspective the Ultima is almost 10 seconds per lap faster than the fastest road car that Ferrari produces which is the renowned £450,000 Enzo.
